American Freight in Independence is looking for a motivated, sales-driven Assistant Store Manager who wants to lead by example, help drive store performance, and take pride in winning as a team.

We're looking for someone who doesn't just wait for opportunities to come their way — they create them. Someone who brings energy to the sales floor, knows how to connect with customers, and is motivated to turn great service into results.

What You'll Do:

• Lead by example on the sales floor and actively engage with customers.

• Drive sales performance and help the team work toward store goals.

• Coach, motivate, and support sales associates to reach their potential.

• Help manage daily store operations and maintain a strong customer experience.

• Assist with showroom presentation, inventory organization, and store standards.

• Assist with unloading deliveries and loading customer purchases, including lifting heavy items.

What We're Looking For:

• Retail, sales, or management experience preferred.

• A strong desire to sell, succeed, and exceed expectations.

• Someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with customers and building relationships.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• A self-starter who takes initiative and leads by example.

• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

• Full-time availability, including weekends.
