Assistant Store Manager

About the role - Department Manager ZARA Bangkok/Phuket/Chiang Mai

We are seeking a highly commercial and people-focused Department Manager to join Zara. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, leading and developing teams, delivering exceptional customer experience, maintaining operational excellence, and supporting overall store profitability. The successful candidate must be able to effectively manage people, product, customer experience, and commercial results within a fast-paced fashion retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales performance and commercial results
• Lead and develop teams
• Deliver exceptional customer experience
• Maintain operational excellence
• Support overall store profitability
• Manage retail KPIs including sales achievement, conversion rate, UPT, ATV, and productivity metrics
• Conduct team coaching and development
• Identify talent and manage succession planning
• Manage inventory and stock
• Lead performance management and effective delegation

About you

• Minimum 3-8+ years of retail leadership experience

• Currently hold or have recently held Department Manager, Section Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or Store Manager position

• Fashion Retail Experience is a plus but not a must

• Proven experience managing medium to large teams

• Experience leading in a high-volume retail environment

• Strong exposure to sales and commercial management

• Talent development and succession planning experience

• Inventory and stock management experience

• Genuine passion for fashion with strong awareness of fashion trends

• Professional English communication skills with ability to conduct meetings, present ideas, and communicate with senior leadership

• Demonstrated logical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and commercial thinking
