Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Lead, motivate, and supervise sales associates to deliver top-tier customer service
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new team members
• Oversee merchandising activities to ensure attractive product displays and proper pricing
• Handle cash register operations, POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks accurately
• Contribute to sales management by setting targets, analyzing sales data, and implementing strategies
• Support training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and product knowledge
• Assist with inventory management, purchasing decisions, and maintaining optimal stock levels
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and store procedures
• Foster a positive shopping environment through excellent communication skills and phone etiquette

Experience

• Proven supervising or leadership experience within retail sales or store management roles
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and basic bookkeeping is essential
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Excellent communication skills for engaging customers and collaborating with team members
• Prior recruiting, interviewing, and training experience is highly desirable
• Familiarity with marketing initiatives and promotional activities will be advantageous
