Assistant Store Manager

Aldea Home & Baby is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead our team and store success at our Ballard, Seattle location. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue, operational excellence, team performance, and brand experience in our most visible market. We are looking for an experienced retail leader who combines strong commercial instincts with people development capability. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands premium customer experience and takes ownership of results.

The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for total store performance including sales growth, profitability, team leadership, operational execution, and customer experience. This role reports directly to the store manager and works in close partnership on strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Business Leadership & Sales Performance

• Own and drive store revenue, KPIs, and profitability
• Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals
• Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed
• Drive in-store and online sales integration to support omnichannel growth
• Team Leadership & Development
• Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence

Customer Experience Operations & Inventory Management

• Ensure exceptional service standards are consistently delivered
• Resolve escalated client concerns with professionalism and efficiency
• Foster long-term client relationships and community engagement
• Oversee inventory planning, ordering, receiving, and merchandising
• Maintain store standards, visual presentation, and brand consistency
• Manage loss prevention and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
• Support strategic initiatives in partnership with ownership
• Provide insights on local market trends and competitive landscape
• 2-3+ years of retail management experience
• Demonstrated success in driving sales and managing P&L
• Strong leadership and coaching capabilities
• Experience with inventory management and retail systems
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs
• Availability to work at least one weekend day regularly
• Background in small business or entrepreneurial retail environments

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
