Assistant Store Manager

We are currently seeking a passionate, sales-driven Assistant Store Manager to help lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operations.

Position Overview:

As the Assistant Store Manager, you will take responsibilities of the store, driving sales and building lasting customer relationships. You will be responsible for managing staff, merchandising, maintaining inventory, and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. You’ll need to have a deep understanding of the retail industry, an openness to the products we offer, and the confidence to engage with customers about them in an informative and professional way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Leadership: Drive store sales by setting daily, weekly, and monthly goals for yourself and the team. Lead by example on the sales floor, ensuring every customer receives a tailored experience.
• Customer Engagement: Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where customers feel comfortable exploring products. Provide exceptional customer service, educating customers on product benefits and helping them make informed purchasing decisions.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, and managing a small team of employees. Provide mentorship and support to ensure the team is aligned with company goals.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels, ensure merchandise is well-presented, and order products as needed to keep the store fully stocked. Managing monthly inventory budget with store needs.
• Technology Skills: Use Point of Sale (POS) systems to track sales, manage inventory, and generate reports. Proficiency with computers and basic software (Excel, Word, etc.) is a must.
• Marketing & Merchandising: Collaborate with upper management to create in-store displays that promote new products and rotate seasonally, keeping the store fresh and inviting.
• Store Operations: Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the industry or a related field.
• Strong sales skills with a focus on customer service. Comfortable discussing products with customers in a respectful and professional manner.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Knowledge of the retail industry, including product lines, customer preferences, and trends.
• A people-person who thrives on building connections with both staff and customers.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
