Assistant Store Supervisor

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Store Supervisor to oversee daily store operations, manage staff, and ensure excellent customer service. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth store activities, monitoring inventory, and driving sales performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Supervisor in overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of grocery store staff, including cashiers, baggers, stock clerks, merchandisers, and other store personnel.
• Support the implementation of daily store operations to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
• Ensure shelves, displays, and merchandise are properly stocked, organized, clean, and properly presented.
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels, ordering merchandise, receiving deliveries, and verifying delivered items against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Help implement and maintain company policies, procedures, operational standards, and merchandising guidelines.
• Assist in training, coaching, scheduling, and monitoring staff performance to promote productivity and service quality.
• Attend to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and assist in resolving issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and food-handling standards.
• Assist in monitoring cash handling procedures, cashier activities, and the proper safeguarding of store assets.
• Support the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly sales, inventory, and operational reports.
• Assist in monitoring store sales performance and implementing activities that support the achievement of sales targets.
• Assist the Store Supervisor in administrative and operational tasks and provide support in the absence of the Store Supervisor.
• Assist in planning and implementing in-store promotions, product displays, merchandising activities, and other sales initiatives.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-focused environment within the store.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of supervisory or team-lead experience, preferably in a grocery, retail, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or vocational diploma in Business Administration, Management, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
• Customer-oriented with good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, initiative, and a positive attitude when dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to be assigned in Pandan, Antique.
