Assistant Storekeeper

Department: Production Department
Reporting to: Production Manager

Core responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against delivery documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock information using inventory management systems.
• Perform timely and accurate data entry of stock receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
• Issue materials, tools, and equipment to end users while ensuring proper stock control procedures are followed.
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling, and organisation of materials within the warehouse or store.
• Operate a forklift safely and in compliance with company safety procedures.
• Coordinate and support timely, accurate, and efficient deliveries and collections of materials.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with workplace safety and health requirements.
• Assist with other warehouse, logistics, and administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum GCE “O” Level qualification or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic knowledge of warehouse, inventory, or logistics management systems and data entry.
• Medically fit to perform operational duties, including manual handling, stock movement, and deliveries when required.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license will be an added advantage.
• Possession of a valid Forklift Operator license will be an added advantage.
