Assistant Superintendent

Join our dynamic construction management team as an Assistant Superintendent, where you'll play a vital role in overseeing residential and commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This energetic position offers the opportunity to coordinate construction activities, supervise teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Your expertise will help drive project success by managing daily operations, maintaining quality standards, and fostering effective communication across all stakeholders. An assistant superintendent supports the superintendent in managing daily field operations and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating daily construction activities.
• Supervise on-site crews, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to facilitate accurate execution of work.
• Coordinate construction activities with project managers, clients, and design teams to maintain seamless workflow.
• Monitor construction safety compliance by enforcing OSHA regulations and federal safety standards across all sites.
• Conduct quality control inspections and oversee construction site safety management to uphold high standards of workmanship.
• Support budget management efforts through cost tracking, resource allocation, and assisting with construction estimating processes.
• Conduct daily site walks and inspections.
• Verify proper installation methods and compliance with building codes.
• Assist with short-term and look-ahead schedules.
• Maintain daily reports and site logs
• Assist with RFI's, submittals, and change order documentation.

Skills

• 3 + years of commercial or residential construction experience
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Pro Core, Bluebeam, and other industry tools.
• Strong understanding of construction regulations, safety protocols (including OSHA), and federal safety standards.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in construction site management, including supervising teams in commercial or heavy civil projects.
• Skilled in interpreting drawings and specifications for accurate project execution.
• Excellent management and communication skills to lead crews effectively and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to manage project schedules and coordinate construction activities.
• Knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, quality control procedures, and managing contracts.
