H. Meyers Development is a Columbus-based real estate developer with an in-house construction arm. We find the land, secure the financing, and build the project ourselves. Because we're the developer and the builder, quality and schedule matter to us as the owner, not just the contractor.

The role

We're hiring an Assistant Superintendent to help run ground-up multifamily rental projects from sitework through certificate of occupancy. You'll work alongside our Project Superintendent, keep the job site moving day to day, and learn every phase of the build. It's a strong fit for someone ready to step up to running their own projects.

What you'll do

• Support the Project Superintendent with daily field operations, from sitework and foundations through framing, MEP, finishes, and turnover
• Coordinate subcontractors and deliveries to keep work on schedule
• Enforce site safety and OSHA compliance; help lead toolbox talks
• Check work against plans and specs; track and close out punch list items
• Help schedule and walk municipal inspections
• Keep daily logs, photos, and job site records up to date
• Track materials, deliveries, and site logistics
• Flag quality, schedule, or safety issues to the Project Superintendent early
• Run the site when the Project Superintendent is off-site

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of construction field experience, as an assistant superintendent, field engineer, or lead carpenter or foreman
• Experience on multifamily or wood-frame residential projects preferred
• Able to read construction drawings and specs
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
• Comfortable with email, digital daily logs, and scheduling software
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Central Ohio job sites
• Organized, dependable, and eager to grow into a Project Superintendent role
