Assistant Supervisor (Electrical Construction / Semiconductor)

AUCAN INC. is seeking an Assistant Supervisor to support daily electrical construction activities within semiconductor fabrication facilities. This position coordinates construction activities, monitors progress and site conditions, maintains accurate records, and helps ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the coordination of daily electrical construction activities at assigned project locations.
• Communicate project priorities, monitor progress, manpower, productivity, material availability, safety, quality, and site conditions, and provide timely updates to the project team.
• Coordinate daily field activities with crews, subcontractors, the Project Engineer, safety personnel, QA/QC, warehouse personnel, and other trades.
• Participate in site walkdowns with clients and collect field measurements, site conditions, access requirements, manpower needs, material requirements, and other information needed to support cost estimating and quotation preparation.
• Review drawings, work packages, installation requirements, and daily plans with project and construction teams and clarify questions before work proceeds.
• Verify that required tools, materials, equipment, permits, approvals, and site access are available and report constraints promptly.
• Lead or support pre-task planning, safety meetings, field inspections, testing, punch-list work, turnover, and project closeout activities.
• Review field information and ensure daily reports, attendance records, progress photos, material logs, and issue records are prepared accurately and submitted on time.
• Identify and communicate construction issues, material shortages, access constraints, punch-list items, quality concerns, safety concerns, and schedule risks for timely resolution.
• Provide daily direction, task assignments, coaching, and support to junior project personnel and verify completion of assigned work.
• Coordinate on-site material receiving, staging, distribution, inventory tracking, housekeeping, and installation readiness.

Education and Experience

• Relevant technical training, apprenticeship, or construction management education is preferred.
• 4or more years of experience in electrical, industrial, commercial, or general construction is preferred.
• Experience as a lead worker, foreman assistant, field coordinator, or site coordinator is preferred. Semiconductor or high-tech construction experience is a plus.

Professional Skills

• Basic knowledge of construction-site operations, electrical installation, and construction drawings.
• Strong communication, organization, recordkeeping, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency and the ability to direct junior field support personnel and communicate clear site updates.

Work Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work at assigned project locations and comply with all applicable access and safety requirements.
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends and travel as required by project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with TSMC site procedures.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification and electrical trade or apprenticeship training.
• Experience supporting electrical installation, tool installation, equipment hookups, or semiconductor construction activities is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is preferred.
