Assistant Supervisor-Production

About the role

Assist the Production Supervisor in managing daily production operations and manpower. Supervise and guide production operators to achieve production targets and maintain product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and organize staff shift rosters, work assignments, and daily production activities
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Materials/Procurement, Quality Control, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations
• Monitor production output, product quality, machine performance, and manpower utilization
• Report machine and equipment breakdowns to the Maintenance Department and follow up on repair progress
• Ensure proper housekeeping, workplace safety, and compliance with company SOPs and ISO requirements
• Monitor stock levels and ensure sufficient production materials are available
• Motivate and develop production team members to maintain productivity and teamwork
• Prepare daily production reports, attendance/sick leave records, ISO documentation, and other production-related reports
• Monitor quality control and assist in resolving production and quality issues
• Support continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and operational efficiency

About you

• Minimum Diploma in any field. Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, or related fields will be an added advantage
• Minimum 3 year of working experience in production, manufacturing, or a related field
• Experience in plastic manufacturing will be an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance, production processes, documentation, and production systems
• Basic knowledge of quality control and ISO documentation
• Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work in a shift-based manufacturing environment
• Willing to work hands-on and supervise employees on the production floor
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
