Assistant Systems Accountant

London | Hybrid Working | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Systems Accountant to join a well-established not-for-profit organisation during a period of ongoing transformation and systems development.

Working within the finance systems team, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring users across the organisation receive effective system support while helping to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This role would suit someone with a strong understanding of finance processes and a genuine interest in finance systems, ERP administration and user support.

Responsibilities:

• Support the administration and maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Act as a key point of contact for system users across the business
• Manage user access, permissions and system controls
• Support system upgrades, testing and enhancement projects
• Assist with data integrity, master data management and process improvements
• Produce and maintain system documentation and user guides
• Deliver user training and support where required
• Work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to resolve system issues and improve processes

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (essential)
• A background within finance, accounting or finance systems
• Experience providing systems support to end users
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting system testing, upgrades or improvement initiatives
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently

Desirable

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience within the not-for-profit, charity or public sector
• Exposure to finance transformation or systems implementation projects
