Assistant Teacher - After School Prairie View Elementary

We are looking for one person for the 2026-2027 school year.

Hours for Assistant Teacher at Prairie View Elementary School:

• PM Care is 3:30-4:45pm Monday - Friday during the school year

• Opportunity for additional hours on no school days at the YMCA

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Dedication to the YMCA core values, good work ethic and the ability to work independently

• Must be 18 yrs of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent

-2 classes of Child Development (80 hours) or equivalent (education assistance available! We can help you get the certifications needed!)

-CPR & First Aid preferred - we will train!

-Maintain State of WI mandated qualifications

• Must pass a background check

Principle Activities:

• Implement and supervise daily activities

• Supervise and guide child development in a safe and healthy environment

• Communicate with parents and other staff

• Document child development, files, attendance, etc.

This position reports to our School Age Child Care Director.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
