Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team at Aultman Women's Child Care Center in Canton. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a positive learning atmosphere and supporting the developmental needs of our children, aligning with our commitment to quality childcare.
Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.

• Support children's learning and development through engaging and interactive methods.

• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.

• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress.

• Observe and document children's behavior and development.

• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills.

• Collaborate with staff to create an inclusive environment for all children.

• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

• Qualifications

• 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent or related field preferred.

• Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of childhood development principles.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
