Mountain Sprouts Academy is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Teacher to join our Reggio Emilia–inspired early childhood program. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young children, values relationships, and is committed to growing professionally within a high-quality learning environment.

Position Overview
The Assistant Teacher works collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to support a classroom that is thoughtful, engaging, and responsive to children’s interests. This role requires a strong work ethic, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to contributing to a positive school culture.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education coursework or degree preferred (or working toward)
• Previous experience working with young children in a group setting
• Understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
• Willingness to learn and grow within a Reggio-inspired approach

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of curriculum based on children’s interests and inquiries
• Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Build respectful, collaborative relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Participate in observation and documentation of children’s learning
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom space
• Step in where needed—this role requires flexibility and a team-first mindset
