At Kiddie Academy of Urbandale, we believe great childcare starts with great educators. We’re looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Assistant Teacher who loves working with children and wants to be part of a supportive team.

As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll work alongside our Lead Teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

What You'll Do

• Support the daily care, supervision, and safety of children
• Assist with age-appropriate activities and classroom routines
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and teammates
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Assist with meals, transitions, and daily care routines
• Support classroom documentation and communication
• Follow Kiddie Academy policies and Iowa childcare licensing requirements

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings heart, energy, and purpose to their work.

• A genuine love for working with young children
• Dependable, positive, and team-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Previous childcare experience preferred, but not required
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
• Must meet Iowa childcare licensing requirements
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
