Assistant Teacher

Kiddie Academy of Olathe is now hiring Assistant Teachers for multiple classrooms and age groups as we prepare for continued growth in our academy community. We are seeking dependable, nurturing, and professional educators who are passionate about early childhood education and creating a safe, engaging learning environment for children.

We are currently hiring for:

• Infant Assistant Teachers
• Toddler Assistant Teachers
• Twos & Preschool Assistant Teachers
• Pre-K / School Age Support Staff

Position Overview

Assistant Teachers work alongside Lead Teachers and Academy Leadership to support daily classroom operations, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure compliance with Kansas childcare licensing standards and Kiddie Academy educational expectations.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to grow within the early childhood education field while working in a collaborative and professional school environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of childcare or preschool experience preferred
• Must meet Kansas state licensing requirements for childcare staff
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
• CDA or related credential highly preferred
• Ability to successfully complete all required background screenings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance and professional demeanor required

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of classroom activities and daily schedules
• Maintain active supervision and ensure child safety at all times
• Assist with classroom organization, sanitation, and transitions
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Help create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
