Assistant Teacher

Seeking an Assistant Teacher with daytime availability.

Holy Spirit educates students from preschool to 5th grade. We are currently seeking dependable individuals who enjoy working with children and can support and maintain classroom routines with the guidance of a lead teacher.

• Display sound judgement in dress and general behavior.
• Must pass a criminal background check and complete Diocesan Safe Environment training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recognize and support the unique Catholic Mission of the School.
• Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care.
• Interact with and care for children.
• Ensure areas are safe and clean.
• Efficiently redirect inappropriate student behaviors and implement the program discipline system to effectively monitor and guide proper student behavior.
• Check students in and sign them out to approved adults.
• Communicate with the supervisor and parents regarding any problems that may arise.
• Understand the procedures in reporting suspected child abuse, child neglect, and molestation cases.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
