• Monday - Friday: 7:15 am - 12:45 pm (27.5 hours/week).

• Monday - Friday: 12:15 pm - 5:45 pm (27.5 hours/week).

• Jr. Preschool Assistant Teacher (2-year-olds)

• Monday - Friday 12:15 pm - 5:45 pm (27.5 hours/week).

Key Duties And Responsibilities A Grace Beginnings Academy Assistant Teacher is passionate about supporting and caring for young children in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate models Christ-like patience and grace, works collaboratively with the lead teacher, and helps support each child’s growth in their physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. This role assists in implementing Christ-centered lessons and activities rooted in play and exploration. This is a year-round position.

• Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Assist in the completion of documenting daily activities, and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment.
• Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom and assume the responsibility to complete the duties required to maintain an orderly facility.
• Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
• At drop off or pick up foster positive relationships with parents.
• Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent.
• Attend all required training and staff meetings throughout the year.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position.
• Maintains licensing compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Professional And Spiritual Expectations

• Educational requirements: High School Diploma required.
• Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant.
• Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer.
