Assistant Teacher

Teddy Bear Day Care Center has been providing high quality childcare and early childhood education for our community since 1998! Assistant Teacher Positions

We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate Assistant Teachers to join our exceptional childcare program. In these positions you will be responsible for the care of young children and planning and presenting age-appropriate activities. We are looking for Assistant Teachers who are energetic and dependable.

Salary commensurate with experience and education level.

Candidates with a CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) are also welcome to apply (Lead Teacher position).

Teddy Bear Day Care Center has been providing childcare services to our community for the past 26 years and we are committed to providing quality care. We offer consistent hours in a safe and friendly atmosphere. We are a part of QUALITYstarsNY and the NYS Pyramid Model, and are always looking for ways to elevate our program’s quality including the use of research and evidence-based curriculum and tools. We support our staff within the classroom including assistance from childcare resource agencies and on-site specialists.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Teacher Position:

• Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth.
• Create a fun and safe learning environment.
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress.
• Maintain the health and safety of all students.

Assistant Teacher Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare preferred.
• Passionate about working with children.
• Ability to build rapport with children.
• Positive and patient demeanor.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
