Assistant Teacher/Floater

Duties

• Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior, encouraging social-emotional development, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.
• Supervise children during activities, transitions, meals, and outdoor play to ensure safety and engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt instructional strategies for students.
• Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences and support literacy and math development.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, behavior, and classroom events through updates.
• Maintain compliance with educational regulations and childcare standards while proofreading lesson materials and documentation for accuracy.

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments, including behavior management and child supervision skills.
• Knowledge of classroom behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, mentoring peers, and engaging parents effectively.
• Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to support teaching activities.
• First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during all activities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
