Position Overview

As an Assistant Technical, you will be involved in practical technical work such as machine checking, servicing, troubleshooting, installation support, testing, commissioning, and quality control. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is willing to learn from the basics, and wants to build a long-term career in technical service and engineering support.

You will be part of a humidity control engineering company serving commercial and industrial customers. Through real project exposure and on-the-job training, you will gradually develop your mechanical, electrical, site coordination, and troubleshooting skills.

This role is not only about assisting with daily technical tasks. It is also a development opportunity for someone who wants to grow into an independent technical person and eventually take on more responsibility in service, installation, project support, or technical team coordination.

Your Growth & Impact

In this role, you will start by supporting senior technical personnel in daily service, installation, and machine preparation work. Over time, you will gain practical experience in machine operation, technical troubleshooting, customer site requirements, ducting, drainage, electrical control, and commissioning work.

As you grow, you will have the opportunity to handle technical tasks more independently, support customer site activities, coordinate with contractors and installers, and contribute to improving our technical service quality.

Roles, Responsibilities and Opportunities to Learn

Technical Support & Service

• Assist in daily technical support tasks related to mechanical and electrical works.
• Support machine servicing, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist in identifying machine faults and carrying out basic corrective actions.
• Support the team in responding to customer technical issues and service requirements.
• Learn how to check machine operation, parts condition, control settings, and basic system performance.

Testing, Commissioning & Installation

• Assist in testing and commissioning of machines at site or in-house.
• Support simple installation works and provide basic technical guidance to customers when required.
• Assist in checking machine operation, drainage, airflow, electrical connection, control settings, and general functionality.
• Support site work together with senior technical personnel, engineers, installers, and contractors.
• Learn how to prepare machines for handover after installation or servicing.

Machine Checking, QC & Preparation

• Assist in receiving, checking, organizing, and preparing new machines.
• Support quality checking and test running before delivery or installation.
• Help ensure machines are properly inspected, tested, recorded, and ready before being released to customers.
• Assist in managing tools, spare parts, accessories, equipment, and technical documentation.
• Support basic housekeeping and organization of technical work areas.

Installation Coordination & Site Support

• Assist in coordinating with contractors, installers, and customers during installation activities.
• Support supervision and guidance of installation works based on company requirements.
• Learn basic machine positioning, ducting layout, drainage planning, electrical connection, and site preparation.
• Help ensure site work is carried out safely, properly, and according to the agreed method.
• Support senior team members in recording site findings, issues, and follow-up actions.

Learning & Technical Development

• Learn the basic principles of humidity control, air movement, drainage, ducting, electrical control, and machine operation.
• Support senior team members in technical problem solving and field service work.
• Develop hands-on skills through on-the-job training and real customer project exposure.
• Build confidence in handling tools, machines, site conditions, and customer service situations.
• Gradually develop the ability to work independently while also coordinating well as part of a team.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Air-Conditioning, HVAC, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in air-conditioning, HVAC, electrical works, machine servicing, installation, or maintenance are encouraged to apply.
• Fresh graduates or entry-level candidates with a strong willingness to learn are welcome.

Skills & Attributes

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, air-conditioning, HVAC, or technical service work.
• Interested in hands-on technical work, machine servicing, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Willing to learn from senior team members and improve through practical experience.
• Able to follow instructions, safety requirements, and work procedures.
