Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to support our engineering and project teams in aluminium and glass works, including windows, doors, curtain walls, façades, handrails, louvers, and other aluminium and glazing systems.

The candidate will assist with technical documentation, shop drawings, material submittals, project coordination, and day-to-day engineering activities to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in preparing, reviewing, and coordinating shop drawings and technical documents.
• Support the preparation of material submittals, material schedules, technical submissions, and method statements.
• Coordinate with project coordinators, design engineers, production teams, suppliers, and site teams.
• Follow up on consultant and client approvals for shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
• Maintain proper records of approved drawings, revisions, material approvals, and project documentation.
• Assist in preparing material take-offs (MTO), bill of quantities (BOQ), and material requirement lists.
• Follow up on project requirements and ensure the latest approved drawings are available to the concerned departments.
• Assist in resolving technical queries and coordinating drawing revisions as required.
• Monitor engineering documentation and follow up on pending submissions and approvals.
• Perform other engineering and coordination tasks assigned by the Engineering Manager or management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in aluminium and glass, façade, or construction projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of aluminium windows and doors, curtain walls, glazing systems, and façade components.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of material submittals, Material Take-Offs (MTO), and consultant approval procedures.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
• Candidates who can attend site visits and coordinate with project teams when required will be given preference.
• Candidates currently residing in the UAE are preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with material submittals, consultant comments, drawing revisions, and project documentation.
