Assistant Transmission Engineering Manager, Network

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for submarine cable O&M work
• Supervision and manage the daily operation and maintenance of submarine equipment at cable landing stations
• Attend submarine cable O&M meeting and liaise with internal and external parties (such as submarine cable consortium members) for O&M related work
• As submarine cable system Maintenance Authorities (MA) and work closely with submarine NOC and other MAs with respect to system maintenance matters
• Cooperate with Headquarters network team for the daily operation of submarine system
• Produce engineering, planning and operations documents when required
• On-call standby is required during non-office hours
• Business trips are required for CMI owned submarine cables’ O&M meeting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in submarine O&M or project Management
• Solid knowledge of OTN, SDH, DWDM transmission technology
• Familiar with using Ethernet/SDH/OTN/Subsea Cable Tester
• Proactive, responsible and a good team player
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is preferred
