Assistant Varsity Softball Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION: Assistant Softball Coach Temporary

Qualifications:

• Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position
• Previous Experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required
• Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program
• Must have or be willing to obtain CDL
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of softball and a willingness to examine new theories and procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

• Assists the head softball coach with instructing student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical conditioning necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success

• Ability to work with players, parents, administration, and other coaches

• To adhere to the MPS Athletics Code of Ethics and Conduct for Sports Coaches

• Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sport

• Board Approved Stipend $800.00.
