About the Opportunity

We are hiring an AVP – Analytics & Business Intelligence for a fast-growing consumer/D2C business.

This is a business-first analytics role for someone who can independently solve complex business problems through data and build a strong analytics foundation for the organisation.

The role cuts across P&L, growth, marketing, category, operations, product and customer behaviour, with significant exposure to the Founder and leadership team.

What You'll Own

• Build the central analytics function and its operating model, roadmap and data-driven decision framework.
• Own the data foundation across architecture, warehousing, modelling, governance and BI.
• Bring marketing, sales, finance, operations, product and customer data together to create a single source of truth.
• Build trusted metrics, dashboards and self-serve analytics for business teams.
• Identify opportunities across revenue, margins, costs and operational efficiency.
• Drive planning, forecasting, target setting and business reviews.
• Build analytics frameworks for P&L, category, channel, product and customer performance.
• Analyse and improve acquisition, conversion, retention, cross-sell, pricing and LTV.
• Strengthen marketing effectiveness through attribution, segmentation, experimentation, incrementality testing and budget optimisation.
• Partner closely with the Founder on strategic projects involving expansion, P&L optimisation, category growth, sales productivity and cross-sell.
• Convert complex analysis into clear business recommendations and measurable outcomes.

What We're Looking For

• 4–8 years of experience in business, growth, product or data analytics.
• Candidates from strong D2C / consumer businesses are preferred, particularly businesses with a subscription-focused model.
• We are also open to strong candidates from an analytics / consulting background who have worked extensively on analytics products and business analytics problems, even if they do not come directly from D2C.
• Strong understanding of SQL, data modelling, BI, experimentation, segmentation and attribution.
• Strong commercial understanding of unit economics, P&L, growth levers, customer funnels and business operations.
• Proven ability to use analytics to improve revenue, profitability, conversion, retention or marketing efficiency.
• Comfortable working with Founders and senior stakeholders and solving ambiguous problems.
• Someone highly self-driven and hands-on, who can take ownership and handle things independently.
• Candidates currently based in Pune are strongly preferred, particularly those working with good Pune-based companies.

Role Structure

This is currently an Individual Contributor role with high ownership.

As the function and business expand, the role is expected to evolve into a team-based structure with opportunities to build and lead the analytics team.
