Assistant/Junior Video Editor — Expanding Our Editor Roster

Company: Avey Creative Location: Remote Type: Freelance / project-based Pay: $300/day

About the role

We're a creative production studio working on commercial and brand video campaigns, and we're expanding our roster of freelance editors. We're bringing on a few editors at once to assist on real projects, paid per day, with more regular work available for editors who are a strong fit.

What you'll do

• Assemble and edit video content against creative briefs
• Adjust existing templates and assets in Photoshop and After Effects (swap text, resize, minor tweaks) to fit the edit
• Turn around revisions quickly, sometimes on a short deadline
• Review cuts shot-by-shot against a brief or storyboard and work through feedback rounds
• Keep project files organized across multiple jobs running at once

What we're looking for

• Strong in Adobe Premiere Pro, with basic Photoshop and After Effects skills for adjusting templates and assets
• Experience working around commercial, ad, or brand video (reels, TVCs, social spots)
• Can take detailed creative feedback through several rounds without losing momentum
• Comfortable starting with a trial project to see if it's a good fit
• Able to turn around assigned work on short notice

Compensation & structure

• $300/day, paid per day of assigned work
• Project-based, with ongoing work available for editors who are a strong fit
