Assistant Warehouse Manager

Job Summary

The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and delivery coordination. The role ensures accurate inventory records, eAicient order fulfilment, and compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

 Assist in managing daily warehouse activities.

 Supervise warehouse assistants and storekeepers.

 Perform daily store operation work: picking order items, packing, labelling, storing, checking of incoming goods, repair, repack products and dispatch activities.

 Inspect, weigh and package products with right size of box.

 Ensure timely preparation of customer orders.

 Monitor inventory of products and liaise with Sales coordinators.

 Operate forklift as and when required.

 Ensure that the store area is kept clean and goods are put in their proper locations.

 Other ad-hoc duties as assigned Inventory Management.

 Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/System.

 Assist Warehouse Manager in annual stock take and administration.

 Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

 Monitor stock movement and report slow-moving or obsolete items.

Coordination

 Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics teams.

 Liaise with Suppliers as and when required.

 Support urgent customer requirements and vessel deliveries.

Team Supervision

 Assign daily tasks to warehouse staff.

 Monitor attendance, productivity, and work performance.

 Provide on-the-job training for warehouse personnel.

 Ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs. Safety & Housekeeping.

 Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.

 Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.

 Report accidents, damages, and safety concerns.

Requirements

 Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

 Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse experience.

 Knowledge of inventory management systems/ERP.

 Good leadership and communication skills.

 Microsoft Excel and inventory software proficiency.

 Forklift license is an advantage.
