Assistant Warehouse Manager

We are looking for a hands-on, organised and motivated Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the daily operations of our busy warehouse.

The successful candidate will be a confident team leader who is tech-savvy, can juggle multiple responsibilities and is comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and with computer systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Supervise, coordinate and manage warehouse staff.
• Oversee warehouse operations in the Warehouse Manager's absence.
• Manage competing priorities and ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions using ERP systems.
• Assist with stocktakes, stock discrepancies and backorder allocations.
• Assist in warehouse WHS requirements, including safety inspections, training and compliance.
• Monitor warehouse projects, timelines and progress.
• Work closely with Product, Customer Service and other departments.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and processes.
• Take on ad hoc projects as requested by Warehouse Manager
• Reporting on warehouse productivity and slotting

Essential Skills & Experience

• Current Forklift Licence (LF) – mandatory
• RF scanning experience with is essentuions
• Proven experience supervising and managing staff.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
• Experience using ERP systems – mandatory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Tech-savvy, confident using technology and learning new systems.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and make decisions.
• Good understanding of warehouse WHS practices.
• Willingness to be hands-on and assist wherever required.
