Assistant Warehouse Team Leader

About the role

Stretch Distribution Inc. is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Warehouse Team Leader to join our growing team in Sorsogon City, Sorsogon. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the effective day-to-day operations of our warehouse facilities. As Assistant Warehouse Team Leader, you will work alongside the Warehouse Team Leader to ensure smooth operations, maintain safety standards, and oversee team performance. This role is essential to our mission of delivering reliable warehousing and distribution services to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Team Leader in planning, organizing and supervising day-to-day warehouse operations
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records and regular audits
• Oversee the loading, unloading and organization of goods, ensuring compliance with safety procedures
• Supervise and guide warehouse staff, providing training and feedback to maintain high performance standards
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly, escalating concerns to the Warehouse Team Leader as necessary
• Maintain warehouse equipment and report any maintenance requirements or defects
• Support the implementation of warehouse processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with the coordination of deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch
• Keep accurate records and documentation related to warehouse operations and staff performance

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team leader capacity

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, health and safety regulations, and best practices in storage and distribution

• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and external partners

• A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene in the workplace

• Physical capability to perform warehouse duties, including lifting and moving goods

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in warehouse management, logistics or health and safety are advantageous

• Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours when required to meet operational demands
