What they need

About Us

At Keanes, we are proud to be one of Ireland's most distinguished luxury jewellers, known for our exquisite collections, impeccable service and timeless elegance. Our success is driven by our passionate team and an unwavering commitment to quality and detail. As a family-run business, we deeply value teamwork, trust, attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering excellence.

Role Overview

We are seeking a commercially minded, analytical and detail-oriented Assistant Watch Buyer to join our growing Buying Team. Reporting directly to the Buying Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the sourcing, selection and portfolio management of our prestigious timepiece and luxury watch collections.

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring professional looking to build a long-term career within the luxury horology industry. While previous watch buying or luxury retail experience is advantageous, full training and product education will be provided for the right candidate who possesses a sharp commercial eye and a passion for luxury.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Support: Supporting the sourcing, selection and purchasing of watch collections in line with company strategy and customer demand.
  • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with global watch brands, manufacturers and authorised distributors.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor sales, stock levels and category performance across our three store locations to identify high-performing models and maximise stock turnover.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse sales data, global watch market trends and pricing shifts to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Buying Manager and Buying Director.
  • System Accuracy: Maintain highly accurate product, pricing and supplier information across internal stock management systems.
  • Administration: Process invoices, allocate stock, price stock and complete any necessary administrative tasks required by the role.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate orders, track deliveries and manage stock distribution efficiently between watch brands and internal retail teams.
  • Range Development: Work closely with the Buying Manager to develop commercially successful, balanced and exclusive watch ranges that resonate with our clientele.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing and in-store retail teams to ensure successful launch rollouts, product training, and visual merchandising compliance for watch categories
