Assistant Workshop Controller

Hours of work Mon to Friday 8am to 6pm and alternate Saturday morning 8.30am to 12.30pm.

Basic with on target earnings of £36,000 per annum

Baylis, one of the largest independently managed Vauxhall groups in the UK, has a rare vacancy for a full time Assistant Workshop Controller based in our Gloucester site.

You will be a self-motivated and energised individual who is able to multi skill and who thrives on working in a fast paced environment. Supported by the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the workshop and you will adopt processes and manage workflow to ensure that technicians achieve daily targets. Using practiced sales techniques, you will contribute to the Service department’s profits. Quality will be important to you and you will have controls in place to ensure that standards, including Health & Safety, are achieved in a ‘right first time’ culture.

Being customer focused, you will liaise effectively with customers and help your team and site to achieve customer satisfaction results.

A technical understanding of light vehicles is desirable, as is a full driving licence, and experience of invoicing and billing would be an advantage but not essential.
