Assitance Manager

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a driven Assistant Manager Production Operations to manage shop-floor operations at our Hyderabad facility. You will run production for your assigned lines and shifts, deliver output, quality and productivity targets, and lead supervisors and operators on the floor. This is a strong growth role for an engineer who wants to build a career in large-scale manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production operations for assigned lines and shifts to achieve planned output, quality, productivity and delivery targets
• Lead supervisors and operators, ensuring clear accountability and performance
• Plan and manage manpower deployment and utilization across processes and shifts
• Track and improve key operational KPIs, including output, FPY, productivity, rejection, rework, downtime and cycle time
• Drive RCA, CAPA and process improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve efficiency
• Support process control, line balancing and capacity improvement
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Stores and other cross-functional teams
• Implement Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor
• Uphold PQCDSM (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale)
• Prepare production MIS and performance reports, and present insights to senior management

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical / Production / Industrial) from a reputed engineering institute, with a strong academic record
• 5 8 years of experience in manufacturing / production operations
• Hands-on shop-floor and production management experience
• Exposure to production flow management and capacity planning
• Working knowledge of RCA, problem solving, FPY improvement and productivity enhancement
• Experience managing supervisors, operators and shop-floor teams
• Strong analytical, data-driven approach and good command of MS Excel
• High ownership, execution orientation and good stakeholder management skills
