Assitant Manager

Overview

The Old Pint Pot is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Assistant Manager to join our leadership team, run high-quality daily operations, and drive ongoing business growth.

You will support the General Manager and Deputy Manager in running smooth, high-volume shifts, managing team performance, and driving guest engagement across the venue. Your primary goal is to deliver exceptional customer experiences while helping hit our key sales, wet/dry mix, and operational targets.

2. Duties

• Shift Leadership: Lead busy shifts from the front line, maintaining high standards of service, speed, venue atmosphere, and health/licensing compliance.
• Team Management: Conduct pre-shift briefings, delegate clear responsibilities, and step in during peak periods to eliminate bar and kitchen bottlenecks.
• People Development: Lead and motivate FOH team members, supporting onboarding, ongoing training, and BOH/FOH collaboration.
• Sales & Events: Support the General Manager in hitting sales targets by driving local community outreach, group table bookings, seasonal events, and recurring weekly trade.

3. Requirements

• Experience: 1–2+ years as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or Shift Lead in a high-volume pub, bar, or hospitality venue.
• Leadership Skills: Strong communication skills with a hands-on, proactive approach to managing teams on shift.
• Customer & Commercial Focus: Passionate about hospitality and community trade, with a solid understanding of sales targets and floor management.
• Flexibility: Available to work evenings, weekends, and key sports/event calendar dates.

Pay: £13.50 per hour
