Associate Adviser

About the role

Valor Private Wealth is a boutique advice firm working with a small number of high-net-worth and wholesale clients. We keep the client base deliberately small so we can know each client properly and stay with them for the long term. This is a full-time, permanent position working directly alongside the principal adviser across the full advice cycle: client meetings, strategy, documentation, implementation and ongoing review.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing strategy papers, Statements of Advice and Records of Advice for HNW and wholesale clients (SMSF, trust and company structures are common)
• Attending client meetings with the principal adviser and building the skills and knowledge to become an outstanding adviser
• Implementing and reviewing portfolios, superannuation strategies, retirement planning and a small amount of insurance advice

About you

• Degree qualification that meets the education standard, exam passed, and either mid-way through or recently completed your Professional Year (candidates already on the register as a relevant provider are welcome to apply)
• Some experience preparing advice for clients with SMSF, trust or multi-entity structures
• Australian work rights; a current National Police Certificate will be requested before any offer
