Role / Principal Accountabilities:

• Join a newly formed AI automation team at the forefront of enterprise innovation, building cutting-edge tooling in core infrastructure.
• As an Associate in AI & Agentic Engineering, you will be instrumental in developing and scaling an in-house AI agent platform that transforms how the organization accesses knowledge and automates workflows.
• This role offers the opportunity to work with modern AI technologies, including large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic frameworks, while contributing to a product that will serve users across the business.
• You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver a Python-based backend and React frontend chatbot that provides intelligent knowledge search and workflow automation capabilities.
• This is a high-impact role where your contributions will directly shape the future of AI-driven productivity tools within the organization.

Below are the key responsibilities of the Process Re-engineering regional lead role:

• Develop and maintain backend services for the AI agent platform using Python, implementing core functionality for knowledge retrieval, natural language processing, and workflow orchestration
• Design and implement knowledge search functionality leveraging vector databases, semantic search, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques to deliver accurate and contextually relevant responses
• Create workflow automation capabilities that enable users to execute complex multi-step processes through conversational interfaces, integrating with internal APIs and systems
• Collaborate with data engineers to establish robust data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and indexing knowledge sources from across the organization
• Build and enhance the React-based frontend chatbot interface, ensuring an intuitive and responsive user experience that seamlessly integrates with backend AI capabilities
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices, including version control, code reviews, and automated testing
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement of team practices
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the platform for scalability, reliability, and low-latency response times
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices, bringing innovative ideas to enhance the platform's capabilities
• The Process Re-engineering team focuses on the removal of TOIL in the firm through automation and process streamlining.
• The team works closely with application development teams and other platform engineering teams across group to eliminate inefficiencies and repetitive tasks.

Mandatory Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• 5-8 years of professional software development experience, with demonstrable proficiency in Python programming
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar agentic orchestration tools
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and exposure to AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS) and semantic search technologies
• Experience implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems or conversational AI applications
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and optimization techniques for LLMs
• Solid grasp of fundamental computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex requirements into actionable technical tasks
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
• Self-motivated learner with genuine curiosity about artificial intelligence and its practical applications

Preferred Skills

• Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio demonstrating relevant technical work
• Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) concepts and libraries such as spaCy, NLTK, or Hugging Face Transformers
• Strong understanding of modern web development, with hands-on experience building frontend applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and related frameworks
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling principles
• Experience working in financial services, consulting, or other regulated industries
