Associate and Trainee Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking commercial associate and trainee solicitor to join our dynamic team at PANG, LI & PARTNERS LLP in association with Merits & Tree LLP in the Central and Western District. As a Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in our Corporate and Commercial (M&A) practice, providing expert legal services and representation to our diverse range of clients. Candidates with a background in litigation are highly preferred.

What you'll be doing

• Manage a diverse caseload of mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, banking documents, corporate governance and SFC licensing matters
• Assist in comprehensive legal due diligence work
• Collaborate closely with senior lawyers and partners to develop and implement effective transaction proposals
• Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
• Willing to support IPO projects as required

What we're looking for

• Solicitor with 0 to 2 years of post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial matters
• Demonstrated expertise in company law and corporate governance
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and case law
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality work and exceptional client service
• Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest legal developments and industry trends
• Candidate with litigation experience will be a plus
