Associate – Asset Management (Type 4 & 9)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our Asset Management team.

This is a junior role suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of experience who are interested in building a career in asset management, fund operations and investment support.

Key Responsibilities

l   Support daily fund operations, including pre-trade review, trade matching, post-trade reconciliation and record keeping.

l   Review executed trades against investment instructions, broker confirmations and internal records.

l   Assist in weekly and monthly NAV reconciliation and follow up on discrepancies with fund administrators.

l   Liaise with brokers, custodians, fund administrators, auditors and legal advisers on operational matters.

l   Maintain proper fund records, transaction documents and supporting files.

l   Provide non-sales support to high-net-worth clients on fund-related operational matters.

l   Assist in collecting and organising market, company and portfolio data for the investment team.

l   Support ad hoc fund operations, reporting and administrative tasks.

Requirements

l   Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related disciplines.

l   Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years of relevant experience in asset management, fund operations, securities operations, banking or financial services is preferred.

l   A strong interest in financial markets and asset management is essential.

l   Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling figures, records and documents.

l   Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

l   Able to manage multiple tasks and work under deadlines.

l   Fluency in Cantonese is essential, together with good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.

l   Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Practical familiarity with AI productivity tools, including Gemini, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, is also required.

l   Holder of Type 4 and Type 9 representative licences, or eligibility to be licensed, is an advantage.
