What they need
Patrick & Associates, PLLC is looking for another experienced full-time attorney to assist with contested and uncontested matters at our Southfield office.
Patrick & Associates is Michigan’s trusted probate authority and we need your help to keep building. We are a dynamic, client-focused firm dedicated to providing high quality legal services in both contested and uncontested probate administration, trust and estate matters, guardianships, and conservatorships. Our team thrives in a supportive, fast-paced environment where collaboration, attention to detail, and exceptional client care are at the heart of everything we do.
Join a respected firm with a strong reputation for integrity and results, where your contributions as an attorney will directly help families navigate challenging times with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities
- Court & Clients: Manage and otherwise handle probate litigation, estate/trust administration, and other contested matters.
- Drafting: Pleadings, petitions, motions, etc.
- Team work: Collaborate with senior attorneys, other associates, and support while managing independent matters.
Minimum Requirements
- Practice: 2–5+ years of relevant experience (probate, trusts, estates, or litigation strongly preferred)
- Communication Skills: Communication skills are crucial for interacting with clients, witnesses, and third parties in this fast paced environment.
- Organizational Skills: Maintaining accurate records and keeping files organized is essential as you assist in your own matters and the matters of the attorneys you will be assisting.
- Meticulous: Close attention to detail is key to all aspects of success in this position (and all others) at our firm.
- Personal Responsibility and Time Management: An ongoing dedication to personal responsibility, personal accountability, and the ability to independently prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively is necessary for continued employment at the firm.
All applications will be kept confidential so don't sweat reaching out if you work with another probate firm. We want to hear from you and you will be compensated for that experience.
We value, and compensate, hard work, good ideas, and individuals who fit within our culture.
