Associate Attorney

Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice LLC, a litigation defense firm with over 200 employees, has an opportunity for an attorney with 2 – 5 years of experience in its Madison or Green Bay, Wisconsin offices.

Candidates must be licensed in Wisconsin, have the ability to work independently on complex cases and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage file throughout litigation processes independently and as part of the team.
• Conduct fact investigations.
• Handle document productions and other discovery tasks.
• Prepare witnesses for deposition.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Review and analyze policies, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Court hearing preparation and attendance.
• Trial preparation and attendance.
