Associate Attorney

Some attorneys help clients plan for the future. We help families when that future arrives.

Rahnema Law exclusively handles post-death probate and trust administration, primarily in Mohave and La Paz Counties. We’re looking for an Arizona attorney to join our practice, whether you have limited probate experience and want to develop in this field or you’re a seasoned practitioner ready to take ownership of a caseload.

The position can be hybrid or remote. For those who still enjoy leaving the house to practice law, we also have an office in Lake Havasu City with an amazing team.

About the Firm

I’m Rich Rahnema. I built this firm after experiencing probate firsthand as a grieving son. That experience still shapes how we work: clear communication, organized files, and helping families through a process they usually never expected to manage.

Our practice is focused. We handle probate and trust administration every day, using technology and established workflows to keep matters moving. We value people who ask thoughtful questions, take initiative, and bring good ideas to the table.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities and level of independence will reflect your experience. The work includes:

• Handle probate and post-death trust administration matters from opening through closing.
• Draft and review petitions, notices, correspondence, and other administration documents.
• Advise personal representatives and trustees on their responsibilities.
• Address creditor claims, asset issues, distributions, and administration deadlines.
• Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, opposing counsel, and the courts.
• Work with our team and review paralegal work product.
• Identify legal issues and help resolve complications as they arise.
• Depending on your experience and interest, assist with or handle contested matters and court appearances.

Litigation experience is a plus, but not required.

Who We’re Looking For

• An attorney with active Arizona State Bar membership in good standing.
• Candidates ranging from limited probate experience to substantial probate and trust administration experience.
• Strong legal writing, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
• Someone who can explain complicated issues in plain English and communicate with patience and compassion.
• An organized person who follows through, keeps files moving, and works well with a team.
• Comfort with Microsoft Word, Google Drive, PDF tools, and learning new technology. Experience with AI-assisted legal tools is welcome, along with an understanding that the attorney remains responsible for the work.

For a less experienced attorney, we’re looking for a strong foundation and a willingness to learn. For an experienced attorney, we’re looking for the ability to manage matters with greater independence.

Compensation and Work Arrangements

• Salary commensurate with experience.
• Remote, hybrid, or in-office options.
• Office located in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
