Associate Attorney

Associate Attorney (0–3 Years)

Williams Law Firm has served central Missouri and the Lake of the Ozarks since 1985. We're looking for an Associate Attorney with 0-3 years of experience who wants real training, hands-on mentorship, and a clear path to building a long-term legal career. You'll work directly with experienced attorneys who invest in your growth from day one, gaining courtroom experience, direct client contact, and case ownership faster than you would at a larger firm.

Training & Mentorship

• Hands-on mentorship from experienced attorneys across civil litigation, real estate, probate, estate planning, business law, family law, criminal defense, and aviation law
• Guidance on case strategy, court appearances, and client management as you build confidence and skill
• Direct feedback and coaching on writing, research, and advocacy from senior attorneys
• Ongoing professional development and a defined path for career growth within the firm

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and maintain direct client relationships
• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, contracts, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings
• Participate in case strategy and client consultations
• Meet an annual billable hour requirement of 1,400 hours

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Missouri or eligible for admission
• 0-3 years of litigation experience
• Valid driver's license
• Strong writing, research, and communication skills
