Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Associate to join the Litigation team in our New York office. Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and multidisciplinary practice that provides the opportunity to work closely with shareholders, participate in business development initiatives, and engage in meaningful client-facing activities. Our platform supports professional growth and is committed to delivering exceptional client service.

Required Skills

• You have 2–4 years of bankruptcy and financial restructuring experience at a law firm.
• You have experience representing secured creditors, landlords, purchasers of assets, equipment lessors, and fiduciaries in workouts, out-of-court restructurings, and all phases of Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases .
• You have substantive knowledge of creditors' rights, bankruptcy law, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC Articles 2, 2A, and 9), equipment leasing, commercial finance law, and general commercial litigation .
• You have deposition and case management experience, including the ability to appear in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts , negotiate settlements, and correspond with opposing counsel.
• You possess excellent oral and written communication skills and can work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• You have a J.D. degree (or its equivalent) with strong academic credentials and are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, New York .
