Associate Attorney

A well-established law firm based in Sandton is looking for an experienced Associate to join its Commercial Litigation team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse commercial litigation caseload
• Draft pleadings, notices, affidavits, opinions and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and provide sound legal advice
• Attend client consultations and provide strategic litigation guidance
• Handle matters in the High Court and Magistrates’ Court
• Brief and liaise with counsel where required
• Manage files and ensure matters progress efficiently
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Support senior attorneys
• Drafting various documents including inter alia: pleadings, affidavits, agreements and general correspondence

Minimum Requirements

• LLB degree
• 4+ years’ post-admission experience
• Proven experience in Commercial Litigation
• Strong drafting and legal research skills
• Experience handling High Court and Magistrates’ Court matters
• Strong understanding of commercial dispute resolution and litigation processes
• Ability to manage matters independently from inception to completion
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

Pay: R30 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month
