Our recruitment agency is partnering with a nationally recognized litigation firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join its General Liability Defense Practice Group in Houston, Texas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to strengthen their litigation skills, gain meaningful case-management experience, and work alongside respected trial lawyers in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The practice handles a broad range of defense matters, including personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, product liability, trucking and transportation, professional liability, and other complex civil litigation.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule, providing flexibility for remote work while maintaining opportunities for in-office collaboration and mentorship.

What You’ll Do

As an Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to:

• Manage your own caseload with partner oversight, guidance, and mentorship.
• Draft and argue motions and handle written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear in court and participate in hearings and trials.
• Work directly with clients on complex and high-stakes litigation matters.
• Develop practical litigation and case-management skills while working closely with experienced trial attorneys.

You’ll be part of a team-oriented environment where initiative is encouraged and associates are given meaningful responsibility as they develop.

What We’re Looking For

• Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably on the defense side.
• Strong legal research, writing, motion practice, and discovery skills.
• Experience with depositions and other key aspects of civil litigation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• A proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Strong interest in developing courtroom and trial skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with partners and colleagues.
