What they need
Hero wanted.
Most firms hand a new associate a stack of files and wish them luck. We're going to teach you how to win DUI cases.
DUIHeroes does one thing: DUI defense. Not family law on Tuesdays and wills on Fridays. Every case in this office is a DUI - breath tests, blood draws, field sobriety tests, DOL hearings, trial. One craft, practiced every day, by a team that does nothing else.
We're growing, and we need another attorney who wants to be great at this.
Why here
The training. You'll learn directly from an NHTSA/IACP SFST Qualified Instructor and the author of Innovative DUI Trial Tools, backed by decades of DUI defense experience. Most lawyers learn DUI defense by losing cases for a few years. You'll learn the science, the tests and the cross from people who teach it to other lawyers.
The team. No one here carries a DUI alone. We work every case together, and you'll always have someone to walk into a hallway and think out loud with.
The clients. Our clients are good people having one of the worst weeks of their lives. They don't get to turn it off at 5:00, so we don't treat them like case numbers. If that matters to you, you'll fit here.
What you'll do
- Carry DUI cases from the first consultation through resolution, in courts across Western Washington
- Represent clients at DOL hearings
- Handle pretrials, motions, negotiations and trial
- Work every case with the rest of the team
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:30, plus one on-call week a month.
What you'll get
- Real, hands-on training in DUI defense, from day one
- Health, dental and vision insurance
- Paid time off and parental leave
- A 401(k)
- Professional development support
- Flexible scheduling
- A technology-forward firm that actually uses its tools
- Salary depending on experience
Who you are
- Licensed in Washington, active and in good standing
- Someone who sees clients as people, not criminals
- Someone who would rather be great at one thing than okay at ten
No experience is required. Criminal law experience is a plus, and so is being comfortable on a Mac and with technology in general.
