Associate Buyer

The Associate Buyer will support the Buyer in managing brand categories, developing brand plans, budget oversight, and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver end-to-end strategies and execution for our Asia office. This role also involves managing local buying activities tailored to market-specific procurement and inventory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage product performance and optimize product mix of assigned category.
• Assist Merchandise team in developing and managing Hong Kong’s and Asia’s buying plans in long-term and short-term.
• Develop and monitor OTB together with Merchandise Planning team.
• Build and maintain strong, sustainable relationship with vendors to leverage resources effectively across markets.
• Identify potential products and coordinate with the sourcing team on product development.
• Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to plan marketing campaigns and digital strategies.
• Manage local buying activities, including order placement and collaborating with store and marketing to align product assortment and promotions with consumer preferences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• Minimum 3 years of retail buying experience, preferably in the toys industry
• Experienced in MNC or Asia exposure will be an advantage
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Strong business acumen with a good understanding of toys and  Asia markets
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate as a team player
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
