Associate

We are looking to add an associate with three to six years’ hands-on experience to work out of our New York office. The position will be to handle a caseload of civil litigation matters, primarily relating to aviation. The matters we are handle range from wrongful death claims arising out of aviation accidents to run-of-the-mill tort/personal injury claims, along with some coverage work/litigation. Hands-on experience litigating cases is a must. Aviation experience would be a bonus, as would coverage experience.

You also will be exposed extensively to the clients and thus have the ability to develop relationships that could be very helpful in the future should this turn out to be something you wish to pursue long-term, which of course is our hope.

Job Qualifications:

· Three to six years of experience as a civil litigation attorney.

· Hands on experience drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and taking depositions is required.

· Admitted to the bar in New York; admission in New Jersey is helpful.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Strong research and legal writing skills.

· Dependable and self-motivated.
