Investment Banking Associate – Power, Utilities & Infrastructure (PU&I)

Blacklock Group are partnered with a leading Bulge Bracket Investment Bank that is looking to add an Associate to its Power, Utilities & Infrastructure (PU&I)

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded sector team with a strong deal pipeline and significant exposure to complex, high-profile M&A transactions across the Power, Utilities and Infrastructure landscape.

The Role

The successful candidate will take a key role in the execution of live transactions and the development of junior team members, working closely with senior bankers and clients throughout the deal process.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading the day-to-day execution of M&A transactions across Power, Utilities & Infrastructure
• Taking ownership of financial modelling, valuation and transaction analysis
• Managing the preparation of client presentations, marketing materials and transaction documentation
• Coordinating due diligence processes and managing key transaction workstreams
• Reviewing and overseeing the work of Analysts and junior team members
• Conducting detailed company, sector and market analysis
• Working directly with senior bankers and clients throughout transaction processes
• Supporting senior team members on origination and new business development

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong Investment Banking experience at Associate level , or be a high-performing Analyst ready to step up
• A strong track record of M&A execution , with meaningful deal experience across Power, Utilities and/or Infrastructure
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
• Experience taking ownership of key workstreams across live transactions
• The ability to effectively manage and develop junior team members
• Strong client-facing, communication and presentation skills
• The ability to operate effectively in a demanding, fast-paced deal environment
