Associate Consultant

Vital Strategy Group is a life sciences strategy consulting firm built on science, driven by insight, and focused on impact. Our mission is to help biopharma companies make confident, data-driven decisions that accelerate the delivery of innovative therapies to patients.

Vital is seeking Associates to join our growing team in Summer/Fall 2027 and contribute to high-impact life sciences strategy engagements. Associates will work across all stages of client engagements, from research and analysis through the development of strategic recommendations and client-ready deliverables. As a member of a small, founder-led team, you will work directly with firm leadership, take on meaningful responsibility early, and help shape the future of the firm as it grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to support strategic client engagements.
• Analyze market, client, and industry data to identify key insights and strategic implications.
• Develop market assessments, competitive landscapes, market models, and other strategic analyses.
• Support primary market research, including development of interview guides, participation in interviews, and synthesis of findings.
• Translate research and analysis into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
• Develop high-quality, client-ready presentations and other deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with case teams and contribute to client discussions and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, business, engineering, or a related field, with graduation expected in 2027.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn quickly and take on increasing responsibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated interest in life sciences and strategy consulting.

This role will follow a hybrid working model, with regular in-person work from our Boston or New York office. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
